Regis Saint-Paul
Bio
Régis Saint-Paul is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at CREATE-NET (Trento, Italy), an international research center where he previously occupied the position of senior researcher and group leader (2007-2009). Prior to joining CREATE-NET, he spent two years as a research associate in the Service Oriented Computing group at the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia), and served as lecturer at the Polytechnic School of the University of Nantes (France). He received is PhD from Nantes University in 2005. He also holds a software engineering and mathematics degree from the University of Lille and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the AUDENCIA business school. He co-founded in 1995 and was for 12 years the managing director and lead programmer of “Interfaces”, a company specialized in orthodontic software (sold in 2007). He co-authored more than 30 papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences including VLDB, ICDE, EDBT or WWW, coordinated or contributed to several European project proposals and is a work package leader in the FIT4Green project. His research interests include Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), database systems, decision support systems.
